Matcha Latte Recipe

Matcha is produced by shading the tea plants for 30 days before harvesting, then grinding the whole green tea leaves into powder without removing the fibers. This allows us to receive the full benefits of the tea leaves. However, this method also makes matcha quite intense in flavor, so milk is needed to create a smoother and more balanced taste. Ingredients

  • Matcha powder 3 teaspoons
  • Hot water 60 ml
  • Ice (for shaking with matcha) 1/2 shaker
  • Syrup 30 ml
  • Fresh milk 150 ml
  • Ice (for serving glass) as desired

Instructions

  1. Measure 60 ml of hot water and add ice (half of the shaker) into a shaker.
  2. Add 3 teaspoons of matcha powder into the shaker.
  3. Close the lid and shake until the powder dissolves, then set aside.
  4. Pour 150 ml of fresh milk and 30 ml of syrup into a serving glass.
  5. Stir the milk and syrup until combined.
  6. Add ice as desired.
  7. Pour the prepared matcha from the shaker into the serving glass (pour only the liquid, not the ice).
